Celebrating growth & development at Myers & Co

The past few months have been a very exciting time for growth here at Myers & Co. Not only have we launched our family law offering, but we are also thrilled to welcome new civil litigation solicitor, Richard Harris, to the team.

Welcome to Richard Harris

Richard brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dispute resolution and will be working alongside Tim Newsome, Director & Head of Dispute Resolution.

Clients will benefit greatly from Richard’s extensive 27 years’ experience as a litigator. Richard is a highly skilled practitioner who is dedicated to keeping clients informed and involved every step of the way. He has worked with both commercial clients and individuals and has earned a reputation for his pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.

Richard’s client-focused approach is also popular. His calm manner and commitment to putting the client first will ensure that our clients feel supported throughout the often challenging and complex legal process.

Richard said “I’m thrilled to have joined the Myers & Co team. I look forward to putting my experience to good use making a positive difference for our clients.”

Well done to Beth Stanway

Elsewhere in the firm, Beth Stanway, a former legal assistant in the Myers & Co conveyancing department, will be taking in her new role as a conveyancer in our team as of  1st September. A massive ‘well done’ to Beth, she has been an incredible asset to the team and we are pleased to be able to offer her the position of conveyancer so that she can continue offer an excellent legal service to our valued clients.

Meet our new trainee solicitors

We have also appointed three new trainee solicitors within the firm, giving us an opportunity to help progress the careers of the next generation of solicitors! Melissa Phillips, Jordan Knox and Sophie Cundy have each begun their training contracts and are looking forward to the next phases in their training.

It is important to us that we provide opportunities for our people to grow and develop their careers. As part of the MAPD Group, making a positive difference in any way that we can to our clients, our people and our communities are priorities. Melissa Phillips, who is currently completing her second seat in our conveyancing team, was awarded the training contract in 2022 and completed her first seat in civil litigation. Prior to that, Melissa worked as a legal assistant in our wills & probate department. It has been a pleasure to watch Melissa grow and to be able to support her development throughout the years.

We are also pleased that Jordan and Sophie are joining Myers & Co to complete their training, and we are excited to watch them grow as they take those next big steps in their careers.

For assistance with any of your legal needs, we have a team of experts in a range of legal areas ready to help. Call us today on 01782 577000 or email info@myerssolicitors.co.uk.
